Jonathan Barrows, the son of the Accelerator, released a statement to the press this morning. It reads as follows:
"Thank you to everyone sending in their prayers and well wishes for my father. Yesterday, Ace became extremely ill while in his suite at the Overton. He was taken to Covenant Medical Center, where he was put on an anti-nausea medication and an IV to help with fluids. Due to his age, Ace was given a series of tests to make sure nothing else was wrong. At this time, the general consensus is that he is dealing with a bout of food poisoning, after visiting a Chinese buffet here in Lubbock, Texas. However, he is still being monitored, and will be unable to make Friday Night Inferno this evening. My brother and I will make sure that everything runs smoothly for the New Era of the Global Championship Wrestling Association, until my father can make his return."
