It's a new beginning.
We see Barry Barrows as he's laying in bed, pillows freshly fluffed behind his head. He has on the television, watching the latest news about the GCWA and Outsiders on one of those independent wrestling talk shows. Nearby, Deana Barrows is finishing up sending an instant message before turning back in Barry's direction, asking if he needs anything. Barry says no, thanking her, and Deana leaves the room.
Deana and I had a few issues to deal with once we were married, but after my near-fatal injury from a high heels shot to the head, Deana's been very concerned for my well-being. She's watched to see that I'm not showing any symptoms from the minor concussion I received at Heat Wave. I'm really sorry that things turned out the way they did for my brothers in the A-List, but I have to admit, it turned out to be a lucky night for me.
Barry flips to another channel, seeing that the Dukes of Hazard is on. He watches the General Lee jump over an impossible gap, freezing in mid-air as the narrator talked about what the Duke boys have gotten in next. Classic.
I'm hoping my luck will continue in the Outsiders tournament. Lord Allton assures me that I'm going to do well, at least until I face him in the brackets, hah hah. He really does seem to want me to do well and move on. First, I have to beat a man known as a spruce goose. I don't get the name but oh well.
Barry flips the channel again, this time finding a cooking show where they appear to be roasting a bird of some kind. Barry laughs to himself, wondering if it's a goose. He sits up to get a closer look, but he's too close to the edge of the bed and slides out to the floor instead, landing on his rear end.
I've been told I need to have confidence against this goose, who hasn't won anything in the GCWA as of yet, while I'm still undefeated. I don't see this goose being a problem. I'll pluck his feathers in no time so I can get back to some special time with my wife. She's really a wild one in bed, don't you know.
Deana comes back into the room, having heard the thud. She comes around to help an embarrassed Barry up, getting him back into bed and telling him to rest like the doctor said. Barry meekly nods, as she leaves again.
I do hope I'm medically cleared. I think I'm fine. But I don't mind Deana keeping an eye on me. She'll help me get better in time for the match. She'll cheer me on as I take care of the goose. And then she'll get me back into bed once again.
Barry changes the channel once more, seeing a documentary about cats. Interested, he starts watching, oblivious to Deana sending off another instant message. Fade out.
