*The picture slowly opens up to the sound of a drum beat. The image flickers with each hit, slowly going brighter, as we focus on what appears to be an empty room. Suddenly, from the left, a man comes staggering into view, doing a quick roll as he dodges what appeared to be a spray of some sort. He gets up, holding his left arm. It's Peter "The Janitor" Vaughn. The Janitor looks around, trying to get his bearings, as he takes the room in.*
Peter Vaughn: God... what's next? Where do I need to... okay, okay, think, Peter. Search for the clue, you know Zybala left one...
*Vaughn drags himself up and starts searching the walls around him, trying to figure out where to go next. You may be wondering what led to this unfortunate turn of events. It should be obvious, but just in case... FLASHBACK!*
*We switch back to earlier in the day, as Peter Vaughn shows up at a nondescript building. He checks the address again before walking forward, seeing Mike Zybala waiting for him.*
Peter Vaughn: Hi, Mr. Zybala!
Mike Zybala: Good to see you, Pete! Glad you could make it!
Peter Vaughn: It sounded like I didn't have much choice, if I still wanted to have my match with The Uber-Man and regain my championship.
Mke Zybala: Did I make it sound that serious? I didn't mean to. You could leave, if you want. But I've been training you a lot over the last year, and I wanted to teach you one final lesson, so that you can be victorious at Controlled Chaos.
Peter Vaughn: You've believed in me for so long, Mr. Zybala, there's no way I would doubt you now. Although I'm a little nervous, as your training tips in the past have been... a little dangerous...
*Zybala laughs and waves off the danger, as if it's never been a thing. It has been. Vaughn knows this better than anyone. But he still follows Zybala into the building.*
Mike Zybala: Do you feel ready for the show?
Peter Vaughn: Boy, do I! I feel like I'm a much better athlete than the last time I faced the dreaded Uber-Man. I respect him as a competitor, but I don't think he's been training nearly as hard as I have been for this match. I've faced giants, I've taken on submission experts, I've taken on basically anyone I can fight, and although most of those matches haven't ended the way I'd like, I'm still proud of them. Because I know that I'm in wrestling shape, and I don't know that I can say the same for The Uber Man.
Mike Zybala: I wouldn't underestimate the man, he's probably ready for you. At least, he'd better be.
Peter Vaughn: Don't get me wrong, I know he'll still be tough. He's The Uber Man, you don't get a title like that by being weak. But this match is a Last Outsider Standing match. It's all about conditioning. With the help of you and Mr. Thames, I'm in the best condition I possibly could be. Now it's just a matter of extending that endurance, putting together my strategy, and winning the match and the championship.
Mike Zybala: Well, I was hoping to help you both with the endurance and the strategy. I've set up a little maze for you, no big deal, but it should definitely help you get even more prepared.
*Vaughn stares at his mentor for a second.*
Peter Vaughn: Wait, this isn't going to get me hurt, is it? I really need this win, Mr. Zybala, I mean REALLY need it!
Mike Zybala: Have I ever done you wrong?
*At the moment, Vaughn's really wondering about that statement from Mr. Zybala. But he continues on, finding a hidden arrow in the wall, and moves off down the corridor. He sees a wire stretched out across the hallway, and nimbly steps over it. Unfortunately, there was also apparently a laser grid or something, as an alarm goes off. Vaughn braces himself for what comes next, as a door slides open in front of him... and King Louie, the king of the orangutans, the bane of Vaughn from Exile Island, steps through.*
Peter Vaughn: Oh no...
*The orangutan seems to grin, as if remembering the humiliation it took when Vaughn & Zybala double-teamed him on Exile. Vaughn has never faced this beast on his own. King Louie starts to let out a war cry, preparing to charge Vaughn in the narrow corridor. Vaughn, though, settles himself down, taking a few strong breaths. He then faces King Louie with a sense of calm, causing the king to lean backwards a bit in surprise.*
Peter Vaughn: Let this be our final battle.
*Both yell, with Vaughn running towards King Louie while the orangutan leaps forward from his hind legs. They fly towards each other... and the picture blanks out. You'll have to tune in tomorrow to see the epic conclusion!*
