“Homecoming is a single word, and we use it to describe a single event. But true homecoming requires more time. It seems to be a process rather than a moment. Perhaps we come home the way the earth comes home to the sun. It could be that homecoming is always a return and our understanding of home deepens with each encounter.”

Our scene opens to the warm and sunny view of the sun beating down on the park. The temperature is warm, but mild for this time of October. There are several cars parked with no one seated inside them. Located to the left is the sound of a waterfall. Our view shifts to see people standing in front of the falls. The crystal-clear water runs firm and fast down below. Seated on a couple of rocks are Dan and Chris, collectively known as the Danger Boiz. Chris is staring into his phone, while Dan stares deeply into the waterfall. Chris seems to be scrolling up and down on his phone in search of something.
“Found it!” Chris shouts with such overly excitement for a thirty-something year-old-man.
“Found what?” Dan responds sarcastically laughing at his brother.
“The perfect place to celebrate both our birthdays this weekend.”
“And where is that my dear brother?”
Chris hands the phone to Dan. He reaches and grabs the phone from his brother and begins reading the image on screen.
“Hidden Door in Dallas, TX. Is this a gay bar?”
“Yes Dan, it’s a gay bar.”
“You’re willing to celebrate your birthday in a gay bar this weekend?” Dan asks, unsure if Chris realizes what it is he is doing.
Chris shrugs his shoulders and nods in his head in agreement. He has that look of uncertainty but continues in agreement. We can tell that Chris is doing this more for his brother than for himself. Dan continues reading.
“Meet the Men? Let’s see what the men of Hidden Door look like.”
Dan takes his finger and clicks on the link. We see pictures of half-naked men dancing and holding drinks. Not too many are “a bag of chips” to look at, but Dan continues browsing through the photos.
“I don’t know Chris. This doesn’t look like it’s all that fun to be in. It just seems like an ordinary Dallas bar, just filled with gay people. I like the bars with drag shows, drinks, dancing and loud music.”
“It’s got drinks. It has dancing. It has loud music.” Chris responds as he takes his phone back.
“Yeah, but where is the drag show?” Dan retorts with enthusiasm.
“I’m sorry Dan, but I can’t find many gay bars in Dallas that have drag shows. I’m not a ‘gay bar’ type guy.”
“Well I guess we will play it by ear then Chris. I really want to see a drag show. You only have one birthday a year, and I want to get shit-faced this year for mine. I want to see the drag show, drink alcohol and watch half-naked men dancing around. I want to go all out this year.”
“Well I tell you what Dan. I will continue to find a gay bar worth going to in Dallas or the surrounding counties. Texas isn’t big on the gay lifestyle, so it may be hard to do. So, since your birthday is on Saturday, we’ll celebrate where you want to. Since mine is on Sunday, then all I really want to do is claim the biggest present there is to get.”
Dan, having been staring and listening to the waterfall, finally turns all his attention towards his younger brother. He smiles, seemingly to get what his brother is referring to.
“I bet I know what present you want to get. Is it about ten-pounds, real shiny and says champion on it?”
“Yes. Yes. And Yes.”
“I do have to say brother, I wouldn’t mind having that gift myself. It’s been ten years since we had our hands on those gifts. I would love to once again have those tag team title belts.”
“Think about its Dan. You and I can make history that no one else in GCWA has ever done. We can become four-time tag team champions. No one has ever held those belts as many times as we have. We can once again make GCWA the company of the Danger Boiz. I’m already the X Division champion. I could have tag team gold and be a double champion. I couldn’t imagine a greater gift than that, can you Dan?”
“Honestly Chris? I honestly couldn’t. As much as gay bars and half-naked men sound. I want gold around my waist again. I want to feel what it’s like being champion. I have been champion in a while. I want that feeling again.”
Dan immediately stands to his feet. The aggression in his voice echoes throughout the entire park. There are a couple of children swimming in the river that suddenly turn to see that strange man yelling with such aggression. Chris stands and attempts to calm his brother down.
“Bro relax. You’re starting to cause a scene. I want those belts too, but we have to get through Crash Rodriguez and Jace Savage first.”
“Who?”
“Our opponents Sunday.”
“Oh, right, yeah. Rodriguez and Savage. Those newbies who want to take the titles from us.”
“Yes."
“Well not if I have anything to say about it, Chris. Mark my words. At homecoming you and I are claiming the gold for the fourth time. It’s time you and I make our way to the top again. What better way to do that than gold?”
“I hear ya brother, but that’s Sunday. In honor of Homecoming, let’s go celebrate a homecoming of our own.”
“Are you talking about...?”
“Yes. Yes I am.”
With those words Dan jets off out of view. Chris laughs as he begins catching up to his brother. We fade out.

“Crash Rodriguez and Jace Savage. Welcome to the GCWA boys. You two come from OCW and want to make a name for yourselves here in GCWA, do ya? Well, I totally get wanting to do that. I remember stepping foot inside the GCWA ring for the first time. I remember it very well considering it was the first time I stepped inside the squared circle in my entire life. I got my start here in GCWA and over the course of a year and a half, I became a multi champion and one-half of the first ever tag team Hall of Famers…
GCWA was my first home boys, and now that Chris and I are back in GCWA, we have unfinished business to settle. Chris and I should have never lost the tag team titles. We are the only multi-time champions in history and we both want to continue making that history. This weekend Chris and I are celebrating our birthdays. Mine is Saturday and Chris’ is the night of Homecoming. We want the titles in our mist to finish out the best possibly birthday ever. You boys are in our way of that…
This Sunday, Chris and I are stepping into that ring with one goal in mind. To destroy you boys and claim the titles. I want to be able to give my brother the birthday present that he deserves. I’m not going to stop, until that wish has been fulfilled. I want gold and nothing is going to keep from getting it. It’s the beginning of the ENDD for you boys. I hope you are prepared for your first loss curtesy of us. The ENDD I near boys. Can you feel it?”
