Hey everyone,
So I thought I would post an update this morning regarding the PPV. At this point... I won't sugarcoat it, it's looking somewhat rough. We've had multiple employees in my department at work leave over the last month, and my work load has been steadily increasing because of it. You may have noticed me being less and less communicative since September or so. I'm a programmer/analyst for a college finance department, so there's a lot to maintain and build up, especially with less people (and some unable to come to the office due to health reasons). Seeing as how I do a lot of writing on the side during the day, that's put a strain on my PPV writing. For this show, I thought "Well, at least I have the weekend this time."
Well, Friday came, and I got called into multiple meetings where it was announced that I'm now lead developer on two projects. This is a boost in responsibility, can come with the chance for advancement if I can pull everything off (and maybe some more pay, although that seems unlikely during a pandemic), and both need to be done by the end of the year. Which may not sound like much until you remember that we're at the end of October (ugh). So this weekend, I'm working to prepare everything for team meetings on Monday and getting everything planned out.
Now, I'm not throwing in the towel yet. I've got two matches written and a third partially done. Jack Puffer sent in his match, and E.W. Montgomery wrote another one, so that gets us to a little over half the card done. I've also written a couple of segments, and others are working on theirs, so yeah. The costume contest will likely be shorter than I had planned, but I'm less worried about that one compared to the matches that deserve a lot of time spent on them.
So in-between cranking out many hours on the projects, talking to colleagues and mapping out a plan of attack, and, y'know, getting some sleep every now and then, I'll be writing this weekend and we'll see what happens. I've always said that in e-fedding, real life has to come first, but it's rarely applied to me before *lol*. Just wanted to be honest with you guys. I'll keep you informed as the weekend goes on.
Peace,
Andy aka Ace/JB
