We open up on a shot of a beautiful white wall. You can tell it's been expertly painted, making it truly stand out. The camera slowly pans out... showing that the wall isn't quite complete yet. Nearby, Lightning can be seen, dipping his paint roller back into the tray to get coated up again. He goes back to the wall, showing his skill as he works on the wall. Behind him, a car door can be heard opening. It slams, with the car driving off. We then see Thunder walking up, wearing his new favorite color.
Thunder - RED THUNDER!!
Lightning turns and looks back, showing the smears of paint on his outfit. He doesn't give the customary "Lightning" response, looking tired as he goes back to working on the wall. Thunder takes it it, apparently noticing what Lightning is doing for the first time.
Thunder - Oh no! We were supposed to do this today? I thought it wasn't until Wednesday!
Lightning - No, it was today. You didn't show, and we have to do this to keep our room here at the weekly-pay hotel, so I've been slaving on this painting while you've been out messing around.
Thunder moves to the side, quickly peeling off his red top and tossing it to the side. He goes for another paint roller.
Thunder - I'm sorry, brother. But I have tremendous news! Stupendous news! Spectacular news!
Lightning - Please stop using big words and tell me, what's the news?
Thunder - I just met with a guy, Mr. Sandiego. He said he's a fan of ours!
Lightning - So you were meeting fans while I was working?
Thunder brings his roller over, smearing paint across the side of the clear wall.
Lightning - Not like that! Who taught you how to put paint on like that?
Thunder - Nobody taught me anything. Who taught you?
Lightning - YouTube. But there are right ways and wrong ways to do it.
Lightning rapidly demonstrates the right way to apply the paint, working over the section that Thunder already did to spread it out evenly. Thunder nods in appreciation.
Thunder - You're really good at applying that white paint, brother.
Lightning - Thank you. Now tell me about this fan you met with, does he want us to do any autographs or anything?
Thunder - Actually, he said he wants to fund us!
Lightning drops the paint roller, accidentally splatting it on the sidewalk. He looks at Thunder in shock.
Lightning - What do you mean, fund us?
Thunder - He says he has plenty of money that he's not doing anything with, and he wants to help us start to succeed in the wrestling business!
Lightning - So what would this money be for? New outfits? Training supplies?
Thunder - Maybe even a place we can stay where we don't have to paint the walls to keep staying there!
Lightning looks excited for a moment, but then seems unsure. He reaches down and gets the paint roller off the ground, noticing where it splattered, and quickly works to try and clean some of the paint up.
Thunder - What's wrong? This is perfect for us!
Lightning - There's a catch, right? There's always a catch.
Thunder - Well, he did say that he had to meet with both of us at the same time. I set us up to meet him tomorrow afternoon at his business.
Lightning - Is it an abandoned mansion or a cemetery?
Thunder - Actually, I believe it's an outdoorsman type of store. He said we could get deals on guns and other weapons through him if we wanted.
The paint isn't coming up, so Lightning grabs a can of paint thinner to work on the sidewalk with. Maybe not the best of ideas but it's all Lightning can think of.
Lightning - I don't know about this, brother. It sounds risky.
Thunder - Brother, look at yourself. Look at us. We have been the laughingstock in the GCWA for more than a year now. Nobody thinks we're ever going to mean anything. This is our chance to finally turn ourselves around! Don't you want to be successful?
Lightning - I do. But we're facing the World Champion this week, James Raven. I don't know how we could beat him.
Thunder - We're fighting Raven? In a Handicap match?
Lightning - No, it's Raven and that new girl, Betsy Granger. I don't know much about her.
Thunder - Neither do I, but if she's hanging with the World Champion, there has to be some wrestling talent there.
Lightning gives up cleaning up the sidewalk. Thankfully, most of the paint fell on a weak tarp he had set up, so it's not horrible. He goes back to painting the wall. Thunder looks at him with an eyebrow upraised.
Thunder - You're really going to finish this?
Lightning - Once I start a job, I want to complete it. It's the right way to do things.
Thunder - That's true. I'll help you, since I said I would. Just keep teaching me how to do it right, I want them to be happy with us before we leave.
Lightning - If we leave.
Thunder - You just wait, brother. The world is no longer going to get to make fun of Wrath of the Storm. We're going to take the fight to Granger & Raven and we will start our ascendance into greatness this week! Mr. Sandiego is our ticket to the top, just you wait! RED THUNDER!!
Lightning - LIGHTNING!! ... You know, I need a color too, if you're going to keep calling yourself Red Thunder.
Thunder nods, then looks back at the wall they're working on.
Thunder - What about White Lightning?
Lightning - Still sounds racist.
Thunder - True. Okay, we'll think about it. Maybe Mr. Sandiego will have some ideas. I can't wait until our meeting tomorrow!
Both men go to work on the wall. Thunder is absolutely brimming with hope and excitement. Lightning still looks concerned, not knowing what his brother is getting him into this time. They nonetheless persevere on the wall, because if nothing else, the wall has to be up and be great again. The work continues as we fade out.
