Thunder and Lightning. Wrath of the Storm. The bottom of the barrel. One of the teams in GCWA that can't seem to be able to win. They have more losses than I have zeros in my bank account. The only good thing that has happened to them is my buddy Dean sponsoring them. Trying to give them the rub and a taste of the high life. It helped them too. It gave them a little luck in Vegas. Unfortunately for them, that was the last bit of luck they've had professionally.
Some would call them the gatekeepers of the tag division, but that would imply that they had the skills to actually test new teams. They are more like a speed bump. Made to slow down people on the road to success. Not stop them, but slow them down. Barely an inconvenience. More like an annoyance. They are the team you don't want to see your name across from because you know you'll have a lower spot on the card and thus, a smaller paycheck. Even with Deano back them, they're still a couple of curtain jerkers.
Which leads me to have a question. What the hell did Thunder and Lightning do to The Barrows family, or the backstage booking people? They can't seem to catch a break. They keep getting booked against the best teams and even some of the lower tiers who get lucky enough to beat Wrath. It's not like they're given a chance to shine against teams on their level like The Greek Gods or The Patriots or The A-List. No, they just keep getting booked at cannon fodder against people who could beat them whilst in a coma. Trust me, I've been in one.
Now they have to face me once again. I've already beat them before, twice I think. I'm sure Ed Houston and I beat them when we were the tag team champions, and I know that Lucas and I beat them about a month ago. Thunder and Lightning had no chance against THAT combo of Life Before Death, but now they are doubly fucked. Why, you ask? Because my partner this time is the other member of L.B.D. This time I am teaming up with THE Wrestling Janitor. THE Most decorated Outsider in the company's history. THE current reigning and defending THREE time Outsiders World Champion, Peter fucking Vaughn!
Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying that Peter is better than Lucas by any means. We are all equally bad-ass in Life Before Death. I'm just saying that Pete and I have more experience teaming up together than Lucas and I. Pete and I have history. I met him way back in 2017 when he first joined Outsiders and won the world title on his very first night. Peter was my very first opponent here in GCWA. We have been training partners for a while and have tagged together several times as well. What I'm saying is that Pete and I work better together than Lucas and I.
Which means that I get to add another win against Wrath of the Storm. It was a foregone conclusion the moment ink was set to paper. Either Peter or I could take on Lightning and Thunder by ourselves, but they have the unfortunate luck of facing The Outsiders Rave Party! I don't see those guys putting up much of a fight, if getting in any offense. Last time we met, I said I was going in with minimum effort for a minimum team. This time, I'll try to make things a little more exciting.
Everyone knows that Wrath has no chance. You can already put the notch in my win column. However, I have a gift for Thunder and Lightning. One they have to earn. If they can get TEN offensive moves against me or Peter, I will give them a shot for The Malvado Brothers. They don't have to even beat us. All they have to do is get in those few offensive moves. Can they get the job done or will they lose everything after Pete and I kick their asses?
