~* Opening Narration *~
“When I first entered this business last year, there was only one goal in mind. To outwork my former friend who was employed by the XWF and accomplish in months what she had failed to do in the years that she had been in the wrestling business. On September 10th of last year, I accomplished that goal when I defeated XWF resident hero and overall annoying pest, Ruby. I wouldn’t hold onto the title for long thanks to Vinnie Lane changing the rules and restarting matches. It made no difference though. It mattered little how long I held onto the title. It was all about getting to the top faster than… Her.”
“After dropping the title, I settled back into a managerial role for the supergroup known as BOB. Even though I had made great strides over the first 8 months of my career, there was no denying the fact that I was the furthest thing from a natural as you could get. I came into this business with zero knowledge or training, and only ascended to the top of the XWF’s Anarchy brand through sheer determination.”
“Besides, I built the elite super-villain group in professional wrestling.”
“The Brotherhood Of Baddies.”
“And it was these baddies that I would lead into the next chapter of BOB’s domination of the XWF.”
“Except that didn’t happen. Instead, one of the BOB’s spoke out against me. Jealous of the idea that BOB was to ensure Barney Green captured the Universal championship and not him. Unable to understand that the permanent black stain on the history of the XWF’s top prize would be a grand gesture showing just what BOB could accomplish when working as a cohesive unit.”
“The BOB that opposed this idea was Micheal Graves, a man who GCWA fans have come to know as not only a twisted soul bent on pain pain suffering of his fellow wrestlers, but also a vision less goof who has proven quite ineffective in the ring despite his many talents, but up until that point, a goof with a wish, and like any idiot with unlimited power, he wished for more, or less depending on perspective.”
“I wish that I were the leader of BOB instead of you!”
“Ironic that the Golden Potato that Micheal used to make this wish was the only reason that he was ever allowed entry into BOB to begin with, but would also prove to be our undoing.”
“Micheal’s wish did more than allow him to take my place atop BOB’s infrastructure, instead it somehow made Graves me, and me Graves. Two minds sharing one body, only one in control.”
“Ultimately, Micheal Graves foolishness would lead to BOB’s investor (yeah, BOB has an investor) stepping up and taking control of the group, and Micheal Graves mind in order to unleash me from Micheal’s subconscious.”
“So for the GCWA audience that may not be familiar, allow me to introduce myself.”
“My name is…”
~* On Camera *~
The scene opens to a static black screen as Miss Fury's words break through the darkness.
"Betsy Granger, The impossible traveler."
A slight pause as we fade into a shot of the woman now inhabiting Micheal Graves body, Miss Fury.
"Something is definitely special about this one. Is she a space alien? Perhaps a demigod? An immortal? Witch? Angel?"
Fury cradles her chin between her thumb and index finger as she ponders.
"At first glance each speculation is more outlandish than the last, but do you know what I've learned since entering this business less than a year ago? The more outlandish the thought, the more at home it is. Professional wrestling seems to attract all sorts of oddities and freaks. Look no further than my predecessor Micheal Graves and the stable known as SEX for confirmation of this, but GCWA is no stranger to strangeness and I suppose that I can now count myself among those numbers as well, thanks to Mr. Graves and his oh so poorly thought out wish to take my place atop the pecking order in BOB."
"The point is, while I may not be privy to the details, something is definitely special about you Betsy, and while I'm sure that whatever the extent of your hidden power, it would prove most useful to my organization, but that offer is predestined for refusal, as you have already made quite clear."
"Yet you say yourself that you are on a collision course with The Left Hand. Invaders of BOB's turf over in the XWF, and a group that we've made clear are our sworn enemies when we signed on with RMI exclusively to run them out of our company. So where does that leave the two of us? Are we to be epic foes, battling for supremacy across two companies, while also fending off attacks from those satanic wannaBOBs, or will we eventually come to live by the motto, "the enemy of my enemy"? We already find ourselves standing on the same divided line under the RMI umbrella, but this fact seems to escape you along with many others. So is your stark dislike for BOB based on fact, which you seem to have little grasp on, or is it just some knee jerk reaction to garner the adoration of the mindless sheep that sit across the barricade?/font]
Fury again pauses for dramatics, awaiting an answer that can't possibly come, but maybe giving Betsy something to consider.
"I have to admit, our futures are unclear at the moment. On one hand, you wish to be a hero, to fight for what the majority agrees to be the "right" cause."
"Yet you align yourself with narcissistic egomaniacs who would commit travesties far worse than BOB should it somehow help them obtain one of those golden trinkets that they're all so obsessed with. I must assume that you have found some redeeming qualities within the Legacy in order to not be a complete hypocrite, so maybe, just maybe, you'll come to find similar qualities within BOB in time? After all, we do have a friend of yours amongst our ranks in Robbie… No sorry, Bobby Bourbon.. Perhaps BOB isn't as awful as you first thought? Knowledge is power, I'm told, but like many in this business, you seem uninterested in facts unless they directly involve you and yours."
"Regardless what the future holds for us, the immediate goal is clear, a battle in the ring, for no other purpose than to test our might against one another. A test of skill for a woman who has, in her own words, failed in this industry time and again, and another who rose to prominence and power despite her lack of formal training early on. You think this match to be a punishment. You fear for your safety against the aggressive and outlandish tactics of Micheal Graves, but fail to realize that Graves is not your concern this week. The card clearly states Miss Fury as your opponent, and while I am fully capable of inflicting the same pain and carnage as my predecessor, you'll find that I exhibit something that Micheal always lacked, the ability to control my emotions and plan my attacks accordingly. You were expecting a wild brawl full of blood and gore, but Ms. Granger I promise you that every move that I make will be calculated and precise in achieving my goal."
"What goal is that, you ask?"
"Without question, you've managed to draw a lot of eyes on you Betsy. Your signing with RMI, your war with The Left Hand, your rise to prominence in both XWF and GCWA, and your inclusion into Legacy. All the while Micheal Graves has made a mockery of everything I've built, but with this match and the interest it will garner, I'm presented with the perfect opportunity to rewrite the book on BOB, and what better way than to force the hot new talent to submit in the center of the ring?"
"Of course no fate is set in stone, no future is perfectly mapped out. I do realize that there is a chance that things don't go as planned. A chance, however small, that you may out wrestle me at Inferno, but something that you will soon learn about BOB is that we always has an insurance policy."
The camera pulls back to reveal long time XWF backstage interviewer Steve Sayers bound and gagged with a dynamite strapped vest complete with remote trigger and ominous red flashing light. In Fury’s hand, the detonator.
"This is your chance to prove yourself the hero Betsy. Surrender to me, surrender to BOB, and save this man’s life. Or you can allow your own selfish ambitions to place his life in immediate danger. The choice is yours my dear Betsy, and I believe that no matter what you choose, this decision will prove most telling."
The camera pans in for a close up of Steve Sayers teary eyes as the scene fades to black along to the sounds of Miss Fury’s laughter.
Will Betsy put ego and accomplishment aside, or will this be the end of Steve Sayors?
