It’s been a week since The A-List took care of Thunder and Lightning and after such a strenuous match that took place last Friday night, the Thomas’s have decided to take a mini vacation.
Lissandra: So, baby… where were you thinking of going for a vacation?
Dylan: Mexico.
Lissandra: Mexico? Why?
Dylan: I need to head somewhere just as dull and baron as Dangerous Dan – who I have on Friday Night.
Lissandra giggles and hugs Dylan.
Lissandra: Yeah, I mean… I haven’t seen anything from Dan that makes him ‘dangerous’ as of yet. Boring and stupid… sure. Unless of course being boring and stupid is considered dangerous now. So whereabouts in Mexico are we going?
Dylan: Well… first of all Tulum.
Lissandra: Tulum?! Why?
Dylan: Lissie, at least one of us – between myself and Dan – are going to be cultured on Friday night.
Lissandra: I didn’t think culture was your thing baby.
Dylan: Ordinarily, no. But…
Dylan looks at Lissandra’s stomach and smiles. He gently puts a hand on it, feeling the baby inside.
Dylan: I’ve got to better myself, hm? I mean, I might be perfect in the ring Lissie… but… anyway… call George.
Lissandra pulls out her phone and before they know it Dylan and Lissandra are on the way to Tulum, Mexico. Knowing the trip ahead will be warm Dylan has opted for a blue polo shirt and jeans whilst Lissandra has gone for a similar attire with a cream blouse instead. Both have their shades on. After an hour or so, Dylan looks at his wife concerned.
Dylan: Baby…?
Lissandra looks at Dylan after looking out of the window of their private jet, smiling.
Lissandra: Mm?
Dylan: Baby… should you be flying in your… um… condition?
Lissandra: Babe… please don’t you start with this as well… I’m fine, really.
Dylan: But I thought Dr. Wright said -
Lissandra abruptly cuts her husband off, shaking her head.
Lissandra: I’m fine Dylan. Dr. Wright just thought of a few precautions – that’s all. At the stage of pregnancy I’m in, honey… there’s nothing dangerous about flying.
Dylan looks at Lissandra confused but decides to not press the issue. He looks out of the window at the clouds.
Lissandra: Beautiful view, isn’t it?
Dylan looks back at Lissandra, smiling.
Dylan: It always was.
Dylan and Lissandra then put their heads down to have a nap whilst George flies them to Tulum. A few hours go by and the Thomas’s touch down in Tulum, Mexico. George surprises the couple through the intercom, waking them up.
George: Sir… Madam…. we’ve landed.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s been a few hours since the Thomas’s touched down in Tulum and Dylan has decided to go swimming with sharks in order to prove to Dangerous Dan that Dylan Thomas is just as at home in a dangerous setting outside of his comfort zone as he is in the wrestling ring.
Instructor: Now… whatever you do, ladies and gentlemen...keep yourselves calm and please do not, whatever you do reach out of the cage and try to touch the sharks.
Dylan and Lissandra are huddled next to each other in the shark cage. Dylan tries to reach through the bars of the cage, despite distinctly being told not to. Lissandra quietly nudges his arm unimpressed. Dylan responds in kind and the experience of swimming with sharks lasts about an hour.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A few hours later and the Thomas’s are walking down the beach, hand in hand basking in the evening sunset. Lissandra sighs and rests her head on Dylan’s shoulder as they walk along. She is quietly content. The couple walk some more down the beach and Dylan pulls Lissandra in close, kissing her gently, catching Lissandra by surprise, somewhat.
Lissandra: Mm… What, what was that for?
Dylan: I love you. Do I need a reason?
Lissandra giggles, shaking her head pulling her husband in close to kiss him this time.
Dylan: Y’know… baby… I’ve a good feeling for this week against Dan. I think things are going to go perfectly. Dan hasn’t done anything that’s impressed me yet.
Lissandra: Yeah. Except wear some stupid paint on his face. It’s a good job that Halloween is right around the corner, he would fit right in.
Dylan: Same with his brother Chris. That mask is just well… stupid.
Lissandra smiles and nods.
Dylan: Did we bring the camera with us?
Lissandra: Yeah.
Lissandra reaches into her bag and pulls out the Thomas’s camera and sets it up so that she is filming Dylan’s handsome face. Dylan looks into the camera smirking.
Dylan: Crazy Chris… I said that you should pick our match type for High Rollers because I am that damn confident in my ability to bring your reign to an end but… like a coward, you still have yet to answer my call. But… you know what? That’s perfectly fine because maybe… just maybe when I beat your brother at Inferno, maybe then you’ll listen to me!
Dylan smiles broadly at the camera, winking.
Dylan: Which, brings me nice and neatly onto my opponent for this week. Dangerous Dan. Dan, listen up… I want to tell you something that I’ve never told anyone before, not even Lissie.
Lissandra cautiously brings the camera onto her showing a mocking, confused expression for effect. She then turns the camera back around to face Dylan.
Dylan: Dan...I’m a fan of the Danger Boiz!
Dylan feigns shock Deadpool style and laughs.
Dylan: I know! Crazy, right? But clear something up for me Danny Boi…. What precisely makes you ‘Dangerous’? Because from where we’re standing – on a sunset drizzled beach in Tulum – after flying here ourselves – Lissie and I, we can’t see what makes you dangerous. But this coming Friday at Inferno, November first YOU ARE going to see exactly what makes Dylan Thomas Perfection, Personified. Earlier on today, Lissie and I we went swimming with sharks – now why on Earth do I get the feeling that swimming with sharks is a hell of a lot more dangerous than dealing with you? I could go through the motions about how I’m going to beat the hell out of you at Inferno but there’s really no point… the result of our match is a foregone conclusion. After all, the match at Inferno is merely a hype train to hype up High Rollers – and I’m being interviewed by Ellen Degeneres next week for that…
Dylan crosses his arms raising an eyebrow.
Dylan: But what I will say Dangerous one is this… When the inevitable does happen and I beat the crap out of you on Friday night, your brother better take note – mask and all – because what happens to YOU, Dan on Friday night will be but a mere taste of what will happen to Chris at High Rollers. Now, I will give the Danger Boiz all the credit in the world. Like I said: I’m a fan – you two can most certainly go. But you see so can I. Let me ask you Dan: how would you like a broken ankle? Courtesy of yours truly? I hear Xtreme absolutely adored his.
Dylan smirks again.
Dylan: Dan, when we face off on Friday Night and you get downed with the Perfect Finisher, I promise you one thing, my friend: you won’t be getting back up and then everyone will be referring to Dylan Thomas as 'Dangerously Perfect'.
Dylan winks at the camera and Lissandra cuts the feed.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s the next morning and the Thomas’s have decided to take a walk around the Mayan ruins dotted around Tulum when suddenly Lissandra’s phone begins to ring.
Lissandra: Hello? Lissandra Thomas renowned publicist of the DT Brand, and manager and wife to the best wrestler alive today, Dylan Thomas speaking? Oh! Woody, hello!
Lissandra covers the phone speaker with her hand and whispers to Dylan.
Lissandra: Baby, it’s Woody Harrelson!
Lissandra then returns back to her conversation and Dylan smiles.
Lissandra: Sorry darling, I didn’t catch that, what? You’re over from Maui and want to meet? Darling, we’d love to but unfortunately we aren’t at home. Hm? No. No… we’re out in Tulum! Taking a mini vacation before Dylan’s match on Friday. What’s that? You want to come to the show? Excellent darling! Yes we can secure you tickets, of course we can! What? Where? Oh. Dallas Texas. Yes! Yes, OK. We’ll see you in Dallas, then! OK, OK bye! Kisses!
Lissandra puts her phone away and giggles with glee. Dylan looks at his wife and once again he can’t help but smile at how adorable she is.
Dylan: Woman, you are just too cute…
Dylan pulls Lissandra in close and they once again kiss whilst still looking around the Mayan temples.
Lissandra: Babe… Woody Harrelson is coming to Texas!
Dylan: Oh, awesome! I haven’t seen him in ages! When was the last time even you had lunch with him?
Lissandra: You know Woody… Always busy. I think it’s been about a year since I’ve seen him! Aww I hope he’s OK…
Dylan: I’m sure he is. He’s going to have a front row seat when I smack Dangerous Dan around next week! And I can’t wait.
We leave Lissandra and Dylan overlooking the cliffs of Tulum taking in the gorgeous view with Dylan quietly contemplating just how dangerous he, himself is going to get on Friday night.
