*We start off with a fuzzy picture, probably because of the equipment that was used at the time. We see the backyard of Dean and the Dystopia card from two years ago. Peter "The Janitor" Vaughn is facing off against The Uber Man for the first Outsiders championship. It's been a competitive match, but the ring itself proves to be a deciding factor, as Uber Man's attempt at an Uber Bomb ends with him getting racked on the ropes. Vaughn takes advantage with a DDT, and then climbs up the ropes as well.*
Zybala: Why are people still trusting these ropes?!?!
Dean: There's nothing wrong with them!! Uber Man just had bad balance is all...
*Vaughn gets to the top, managing to keep his balance, a remarkable feat in itself on such terrible ropes. He leaps off with a shooting star press, and gets the 3 count!*
Zybala: Vaughn's done it! Vaughn's done it! He hits the Plunge and gets the win and maybe some respect!!
Dean: More importantly, that sucka is the Outsider Champion!!
*We cut to another image, showing Matt Meyhu stealing away the Outsiders championship minutes later from an exhausted Vaughn. The next image is of Vaughn's second chance at the title, trying to fight off a legend in the business. We see Meyhu grabbing a steel chair to use against The Janitor.*
Dean: This is unnecessary sucka. You got the dude beat. Just pin him.
Zybala: Fuck this Drano. I can't watch this any more.
*Zybala enters the ring and stops Meyhu from using the chair. As they argue, Vaughn comes from behind and delivers a low blow to Meyhu! Zybala adds in a superkick, then helps Vaughn go to the top rope. The shooting star press lands (awkwardly) and Vaughn gets the pin, becoming a two-time Outsiders champion. Zybala, excited, rings the bell, cues up Vaughn's music, and runs in to give him the championship. The two share a moment of respect, as we cut away again.*
*The image appears a lot clearer now, as it's being taped a lot more recently. Like, now. Peter Vaughn is standing in front of a McDonald's, looking up at the golden arches above him.*
Peter Vaughn - At one time, I really considered applying here.
*Vaughn looks inside, with the camera zooming in. You see several people behind the counter of the McDonald's. None of them look like they're having a very good time. One employee is slowly cleaning off a table, scrubbing at the mess the little terrors left.*
Peter Vaughn - I was near the end of my rope. I'd left the CWF, OCW wouldn't hire me, HOW wouldn't hire me... I was a mess. I had been let go from my job at Richardson High School for a very stupid reason. They thought I was sleeping on the job, but I really was just resting my eyes for a minute. It's not like they paid me much anyway. But at the time, with very little else offering employment, I was seriously considering going into the fast food business. Cleaning those toilets... just thinking about it causes me to shudder.
*Vaughn really does shudder. He's not just saying that to sound cool.*
Peter Vaughn - But then a breakthrough occurred. Zybala contacted me about joining his organization, Outsiders. It changed my life. I went on to become a two-time champion, and it put me back on the map. Now, here I am, wrestling again in the GCWA, and I owe a majority of it to Zybala.
*Vaughn looks back into the store, as if now considering getting some food. He shakes it off.*
Peter Vaughn - And now... I have to wrestle Zybala. I have to face him in the ring... right when Outsiders is coming back to action joined up with the GCWA. Right when I could be going back to my old stomping grounds and seeing if I can become a champion for a third time. So what will this do to my chances? If I defeat Zybala, will he ban me from Outsiders? But I've gotten some wins in the GCWA. Should I let that go, just to let Zybala win? Would he even want me to let him win? It's so confusing!
*Vaughn shakes his head, looking saddened.*
Peter Vaughn - I guess I will find out on Friday what my decision turns out to be. But know this: I respect you, Zybala. And I thank you for everything you've done for me... no matter what happens on Friday.
*Vaughn looks again at McDonald's, and then shakes his head. He walks away, leaving the heavy fast food behind him. Oh, don't get too proud of him, he's probably headed for Burger King. We fade out.*
