I pulled up to the mansion of Dyl and Liss at exactly 19:00 just as I said I would. I turned the lights of the car off and walked up to the gate. A voice came through on the speaker by the gate - they could see it was me.
Lissandra: David! Please, come through.
I waved, opened the gate and walked up to the mansion steps to find Dylan already waiting for me beaming ear to ear.
Dylan: Davey Boy! Drink? Please come inside bro!
"I'm on the clock still brother", I said to Dylan. We marched our way through to the Thomas's living room which of course was huge - big enough to fit a grand piano. I had to smirk looking at it. My mother Janice - rest her soul - loved to play piano. But I wasn't here for pleasure, at least not this time.
"Can we get to business?" I said, sitting down on one of their luxury sofas.
Lissandra: Always so formal. We love that about you, don't we baby?
Dylan: Always. So... Dave... here's the deal. You might've seen recently our dealings with The Danger Boiz...
"Did quite well for yourself out of that exchange, I see." I said, nodding at the belt that Dylan had proudly swung over his shoulder. Lissandra smiled at me and nodded.
Lissandra: Yes he has.
I watched as Lissandra proudly rubbed her husband's hand as he stood behind her whist she sat on the sofa opposite me.
Lissandra: I've been talking with GCWA management and I've just got your contract approved. You are officially under contract with the GCWA as muscle for The A-List - or more specifically us - TIO will have Knux but I'm assuming there will be overlap here and there. Sign here.
I got out my reading glasses and began to peruse the contract. Everything looked in order. "Not a problem". I signed.
Dylan: Now, our dealings with the Boiz are likely far from over - I mean Crazy Chris did attempt to kill our unborn child the other week - and as Champion, champions need entourages so Dave... I looked to the baddest, meanest motherfucker I know.
I had to smile at this. "Thanks."
Lissandra: We're ecstatic to have you on board David. We'll pay you $250,000 personally, each time.
I nodded. "This should be fun guys. But tell me about Detective Jack Puffer. I've noticed he has a habit of...running away."
