Breaking news from the GCWA News Line! We have received an announcement from the Barrows office about the upcoming matches this weekend at GCWA Darkness Falls IV. It was already announced during Friday Night Inferno that the GCWA World Heavyweight Champion, The Big Bifford, will be defending against the #1 contender, "The Rocketman" Ed Houston, in a Razor-Wire Steel Cage match. We have now learned that this will not be the only dangerous stipulation added for this Pay-Per-View. Here is the announcement:
"The Global Championship Wrestling Association is always striving to bring the best competition to our events throughout the world. At Darkness Falls IV, "Mad Dog" Mark Wright will be putting his newly won GCWA North American Championship on the line against the former champion, Duce Jones, and the undefeated Mike Zybala in a Triple Threat match. Due to the controversy that has been raised after the finish of the Mad Dog/Duce Jones contest, as well as concerns in how Zybala was victorious on this past week's Inferno, it has been decided to add another stipulation to this amazing contest.
In the history of our sister organization, Online Championship Wrestling, there was one match that has been used to ensure that there is always a finish. This match is known as a Hazardous Ladder match. The North American Championship will be kept above the ring, waiting for a champion to claim it. Around the ring, there will be a series of ladders of various shapes and sizes that can be used to attempt to reach the title. Many of these ladders, however, will have... certain defects. Some will break on the lowest rung, keeping wrestlers from gaining any height. Others will be more likely to come apart at higher altitudes. It will be up to the wrestlers to discover their best chance at climbing towards the championship.
All wrestlers in this match will be fully insured and will be taken care of in case of any severe injuries. We wish the best of luck to Wright, Jones, and Zybala in their match this Sunday."
There is also speculation that an additional element will be added to this contest, at the behest of one of the competitors, in order to combat the ability of Mike Zybala to seemingly appear and disappear at will in the darkness.
