Earlier this week on Twitter, Duce Jones, one of the top stars in the GCWA, posted tweets talking about not being booked for this week's Friday Night Inferno. As one of the most active GCWA wrestlers in 2019, it was indeed curious that Jones wasn't placed in a match on the first show of the new year, along with other stars like "Mad Dog" Mark Wright, Tony Savage, and the GCWA World Champion, Ed Houston.
Jones' complaints were noticed by GCWA management, with Jonathan Barrows inviting Jones to Inferno to learn who he will be facing next week. There are some rumors coming out of Dallas that the Barrows family is not pleased with Jones calling them out on social media, as well as saying in interviews that his ladder was sabotaged at Darkness Falls. This could mean hard times for Duce Jones in the near future. Given Jones' willingness to take on all comers, however, he may very well be pleased with whoever he's set to face this month as he again looks to rise to championship competition.
